Prof. Sylvanus Ozem Oboh is the Rector of Kings Polytechnic, Ubiaja. He has held the position from January 2016 till date. He attended University of Ibadan, Ibadan where he obtained B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Agricultural Biochemistry and Animal Nutrition in 1981, 1983 and 1987 respectively.

Prof. Oboh started his working career as Livestock and Feed Mill Manager in Niger Valley Firms, Agenebode in May, 1987. He left to join College of Education, Ekiadolor as Lecturer II, in the Department of Home Economics in 1988. In February, 1989, he moved to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria as Lecturer II, in the Department of Animal Science. In July 1987, he joined the University of Benin, Benin City as Lecturer II in the Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture.

He got employed in the Service of the then Bendel State University now Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma as Lecturer I in the Department of Animal Science in July 1990. He rose through the ranks to the position of Professor in October, 2006. As an academic of very high repute, he has distinguished himself in the areas of Research Supervision and Publications.

Professor Oboh leads the Academic faculty of Kings Polytechnic with a drive for novelty and excellence.
